About

About Solo Roleplay Mastery

We’re on a mission to help tabletop RPG players discover the joy of playing solo and master the best GM-less games.

Our Story

Solo Roleplay Mastery was founded because we believed solo tabletop RPGs deserved better resources. For years, solo gaming was treated as a niche hobby — something you did when you couldn’t find a group.

But the truth is different. Solo RPGs are a legitimate, enriching form of storytelling. They’re meditative. They’re creative. They’re deeply personal. And they’re growing fast.

We built this site to help beginners discover solo play, give experienced players deeper resources, and celebrate the incredible community of solo RPG designers and players around the world.

“Solo roleplay isn’t about missing out on group play — it’s about having a medium that lets you explore stories, characters, and worlds on your own terms, at your own pace, without compromise.”

Our Mission & Values

Accessibility

Solo RPGs should be easy to start. We believe in clear guides, affordable games, and removing barriers to entry so anyone can begin their solo adventure.

Community

We celebrate solo players everywhere. Whether you play in silence or share your stories, you’re part of a growing, passionate community.

Authenticity

We’re players first. Our guides, reviews, and resources come from real experience and genuine love for solo TTRPG games.

Creativity

Solo play is creative expression. We encourage you to break rules, invent systems, and make these games entirely your own.

Growth

Whether you’re a beginner or veteran, there’s always more to learn. We’re committed to constantly expanding our guides and resources.

Inclusivity

Everyone belongs here. Solo RPGs welcome all ages, backgrounds, experiences, and playstyles. You are welcome.

What We Believe

  • Solo play is valid, enriching, and here to stay. It’s not a consolation prize — it’s a medium in its own right.
  • Everyone can play solo RPGs. You don’t need to be creative, experienced, or a “real gamer.” You just need curiosity and dice.
  • Learning should be free or cheap. Expensive barriers keep people out. We advocate for affordable games and share free resources.
  • Indie designers are changing the game. Some of the best solo RPGs come from small creators. We celebrate them.
  • There is no “right way” to play. House rules, modified mechanics, experimental playstyles — it’s all valid. Your game, your rules.
  • Community makes games better. Sharing stories, reviewing games, and supporting each other strengthens the entire hobby.
